Sonia Castelli grew up in the workshop. While other children spent time at the playground, she was among car lifts, tools, and engines, observing and learning. Mechanics was never a late choice: it was a constant presence since childhood. At twelve years old, she dismantled her first gearbox, that of a Fiat Uno Selecta. That’s where a passion was born that would never leave her.
At eighteen, she decided to turn that natural interest into a real profession and enrolled in a vocational school, specializing as an engine technician. During her training years, she also entered the world of car racing, discovering a second great passion: race cars, the racing environment, the technical and mental challenge of competition.
After finishing her studies, she joined her father's company permanently. She started with hands-on work: dismantling gearboxes from vehicles, direct interventions on cars, up to overhauling automatic transmissions, honing technical skills built with method, experience, and daily practice.
At the same time, her commitment to competitions grew. Sonia began racing, bringing the Castelli name to racetracks all over Italy, even racing as far as Naples. Results soon followed: three national titles, along with a solid reputation and a network of contacts built on the field, race after race.
Today Sonia Castelli combines technical skills, direct workshop experience, and a mindset developed in competitions, where precision, reliability, and cool-headedness make the difference. The same attitude she brings to work every day.
